Microwave Overhead Cabinet Kit – Revel '21-'24

I have a Winnebago Revel and unfortunately they do not come with a microwave. I purchased one and carried it “freely” bouncing around my rig. I finally decided I needed to purchase this install kit to fully enjoy the microwave and keep it from getting damaged. As others have noted, the install was a bit of a pain, because of the felt backing just not having enough give. I too trimmed up the cord router, loosened all the screws and even had to slit the felt panel in a few areas (behind the microwave) to relieve some of the pressure to get it to click into the bracket. Aside from that, the rest of the install was extremely easy and looks great. Unfortunately, the video makes it seem that there is no alterations needed, trust me, there will be but totally worth it in the end….

First off I like how it looks. But there will have to be some modifications to make the microwave fit in the cabinet. The felt liner at the back of the cabinet has to be moved or removed. I had to take out some of the wood backing. What a pain. My suggestion to Canyon Adventure Vans is to stop selling this product especially at the price they have it at. I am very mechanically minded and I would say I had 6 hours into this project. BTW the product in the video install is different. The face plate in my kit had to be screwed on. The only reason I gave this 3 stars is because of the look.

Before getting the microwave kit I was storing a very large, heavy microwave in the shower compartment. I had to lift it out and set it up every time I simply wanted to heat my coffee. This new kit from Canyon Adventure Vans is PERFECT! It is a true space saver. The microwave is a high quality GE that comes with a locking door and auto shut off of the display so as not to continually drain the battery. My biggest concern was the installation as I'm not handy at all (it's why I bought a Revel fully loaded). The "how to" video of an installer detailing each and every step in easy to comprehend language was extremely helpful. Aside from one minor adjustment to the back panel, the installation went without issue. I highly recommend this kit.

After a bit of adaption due to thickness of rear board, fits in perfect!! Door is also perfect! Thank you to Keith for the support and updates

Flawless. I cut the one inch electrical protector on the back of the microwave down to to quarter inch and the microwave slid easily onto the metal stand. Love all the preset drilled holes for seamless installation. A specialty of CAV. Love the new look and ease of having a microwave.
