The CAV Rooftop Lounge transforms your van’s roof rack into a comfortable elevated seating area that’s always ready when you arrive. Designed around the Storyteller Overland van with Front Runner roof rack, the system can also be adapted to many other van roof racks.
The complete system includes two folding cushioned rooftop seats, an A/C platform, umbrella stand and umbrella with integrated solar lighting.
Everything stays mounted on your roof rack while you travel (except the umbrella), so there’s no need to pack bulky camp chairs inside your van.
When you arrive, climb the ladder, release the retaining straps, lean the seats back, install the umbrella and enjoy the view.
Your Own Rooftop Lounge
Whether you’re overlooking the mountains, watching the sunset at camp, hanging out at an event or simply looking for a better place to relax, the Rooftop Lounge creates an entirely new outdoor living space on your van.
The two 24” x 24” folding seats feature integrated cushions and remain mounted to the roof rack when folded.
The front seat mounts directly to the roof rack, while the rear seat mounts to the included CAV A/C Platform, which sits above the rooftop air-conditioning unit.
Umbrella With Solar Lighting
The included umbrella provides shade during the day and features integrated solar lighting for evenings at camp.
The system also includes the umbrella stand and storage bag, giving you everything needed to complete the rooftop setup.
One of the biggest advantages of the CAV Rooftop Lounge is convenience.
There’s no need to unload chairs from your van every time you stop.
Simply:
- Climb onto the roof.
- Release the seat straps.
- Recline the folding seats.
- Install the umbrella.
- Sit back and enjoy the view.
When it’s time to leave, fold everything back into its travel position and secure the seats.
Designed for Storyteller Overland
The Rooftop Lounge was designed around Storyteller Overland adventure vans equipped with the Front Runner roof rack, providing a clean, integrated installation.
Because the system mounts to a roof rack, it may also be compatible with other vans and roof rack systems. Mounting configuration and available roof space should be confirmed before ordering for non-Storyteller applications.
Aluminum Construction
The structural components are manufactured from lightweight aluminum and finished with a durable black powder coat, providing strength while keeping unnecessary rooftop weight to a minimum.
